A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, this 2020 Alter Ego is a wonderfully satisfying Margaux. It is very much in the classic, Alter Ego mould, having beautiful purity of fruit with a gourmet touch. Generously fruit-driven, lively, and with glorious freshness, tannins are precise and ripe, the finish being brightly satisfying (for drinking now–2035).

Château Palmer is a 3ème Cru Classé property and is one of the most celebrated estates in the Margaux appellation in Bordeaux, renowned for producing rich and opulent wines with exceptional longevity. The 55 hectare estate is characterised by its mixture of fine and sandy gravels, together with clay soils. The key grape varieties are old vine Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, all farmed biodynamically, resulting in superbly elegant, velvety wines with a wonderful capacity to age and evolve in bottle.
