This is a ripe, pure, ‘old-school’ Burgundy in the sense that there is a rather deep core of black cherry fruit with a touch of earth, a little minerality, and a pleasing little bit of rustic chewiness to the finishing tannins.

Description
Compared to the village ‘old vine’, this premier cru is more structured, vigorous, punchy. This is quite dense, with plum, earth, spice and a brooding, ‘sauvage’-like nose. Excellent detail, ample and a supple tannic spine that is beautifully soft and supple.
