Powerful spicy dry red wine. Ink-black dull colour with slow-running thick tears. Closed nose gathered around black fruit, such as egg plums, blackberries and cassis berries, black pepper, freshly sliced mushrooms and leather. Powerful flavour onset yet melted around the tannins and the alcohol that are perfectly integrated into the texture, broad mouthfeel that extends into the extremely long finish. This wine deserves a carafe to breathe and a solid piece of grilled red meat or game roast with hunter sauce. Also, with braised winter vegetables with roots and cabbages under a croute of tomato salsa and herbs. Serving temperature: 17°C

Description
As rebel winemakers go, Pieter H Walser is about as rebellious as you can get. This is the South African behind Blankbottle, the winery that picked up a good deal of press recently on account of one of its wines, Limbic, having the blend chosen by the sub-conscious part of Walser’s brain hooked up to electrodes.
