  1. 16 Stops, Chardonnay

The grapes for this Chardonnay were sourced from Currency Creek, a region on the Fleurieu Peninsula, about 80 kilometres south of Adelaide. The region is not far from the sea, so night time temperatures are not extreme and the daytime temperatures are moderated by cool breezes in the afternoons. Fresh and elegant, this wine has good fruit weight and aromas including apple and white peach, a lovely texture and a savoury. The acidity is nicely balanced, giving the wine good length on the finish.
  2. Domaine des Sables Verts Saumur Blanc Loire

Caroline Meurée & Hervé Malinge are a young winemaking couple who met while studying in Bordeaux. Despite neither of them being from the Loire Valley, in 2019 they bought Domaine des Sables Verts in the heart of Saumur Champigny and embarked on their first vintage. The domaine comprises 16 hectares of vines across 5 communes (Varrains, Chacé, Saumur, Souzay-Champigny et Parnay) which they intend to work organically in order to maintain the soil diversity. Fifteen hectares are planted with Cabernet Franc and just one with Chenin Blanc. The vines lie on deep clay-limestone soils that are rich in tuffeau and green sand, or ‘sables verts’, which inspired the name of the domaine.
  3. Chalk Hill Barbera McLaren Vale

Owned by the Harvey family since 1964: 220 acres of vines under organic viticultural practices. High quality wines with a Mediterranean influence. This James Halliday 5* winery leads the pack of the next generation of family owned Australian wineries, producing wines which display purity, balance and are a reflection of their terroir. Winemaker Renae Hirsch uses minimal intervention, guiding the wines through maturation to maintain freshness while having purity, elegance and structure. Jock Harvey manages the vineyards and his brother Tom directs the business under general manager Stu Mosman.
  4. Innocent Bystander Rose Victoria

Innocent Bystander's reputation has been built upon the style of their regional and varietal wines, which reflect the soil, climate and topography of the cool Yarra Valley. Owned by one of Australia's leading family-owned wine companies, Brown Brothers, the Yarra Valley fruit is harvested and immediately transported to their winery in Milawa, Northern Victoria. Here the winemaking team process the grapes in their 'Kindergarten Winery', specially designed for small batches and different winemaking techniques for minimal intervention.
  5. Cullen Sauvignon Blanc - Semillon Margaret River

Established in 1989 by Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith MW, Shaw + Smith's aim is to make contemporary, high quality wines that stand among the best of their type in Australia. The wines are made exclusively from fruit grown in the Adelaide Hills, one of Australia's coolest and most exciting regions. 7. Willunga 100 The Hundred Grenache, McLaren Vale

The Hundred Clarendon is made from a 93-year-old single vineyard, and compared with Blewitt Springs is higher in altitude with a more continental climate resulting in a very aromatic, elegant expression of Grenache.
  8. Peter Lehmann Botrytis Semillon Barossa Valley 1/2

  9. Mount Horrocks Semillon, Watervale

The Mount Horrocks Semillon is sourced from a low-yielding, organic, single vineyard of unirrigated vines in Watervale, Clare Valley. The wine was 100% barrel fermented in French oak barriques, 40% new. Lees stirring took place every two weeks for three months, and then allowed to remain on the lees for a further eight months before being bottled without fining. Pale yellow in color this Semillon displays aromas of stewed apple and lightly toasty, spiced oak. Light and bright on the palate with layers of fruit complemented by subtle savory notes from the oak and well-balanced acidity on a long, elegant, and dry finish.
  10. Fairview Darling Chenin Blanc, Coastal Region

The grapes for this wine are from a bush vine vineyard on the west-facing hills outside Darling, at approximately 300 metres above sea level. The vineyard was planted in 2001 on Richter 99 rootstock, which is tolerant to water stress and is dry farmed. The soil in this vineyard is decomposed granite, differentiating it from the surrounding vineyards which are mainly oakleaf soil; and adding a mineral note to the wines. Vibrant lemon yellow in colour with fruity aromas of pineapple and hints of citrus on the nose. The palate is fresh and crisp with lively, well-balanced acidity and flavours of lime and minerality typical of the Darling vineyards.

  13. 16 Stops Shiraz

This deep coloured Shiraz is youthful and vibrant, with a lovely dark fruit and spiced plum character on the nose. The oak supports rather than masks the fruit, which is bright and lively yet plush and fleshy on the palate.
  14. Larry Cherubino Apostrophe Stones Throw, Australia

The Apostrophe Stones Throw from Larry Cherubino is a delightful blend of Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and a touch of Pinot Blanc. Riesling's cool minerality meshes with Gewürztraminer's exotic spice and rose water, in this delicious, refreshing blend. Aromas of lemon, lime, rosewater and talc. The softly textured palate has a long, refreshing acidity supported by flavours of citrus and rose petal.
