Madregale Bianco is a zippy, fresh white made from Chardonnay along with Trebbiano d’Abruzzo. A superb quality ‘house wine’, this is made from hand-harvested grapes and indigenous yeast fermentation, which may well account for its bright, fresh drinkability. Uncomplicated, but very well made. Dry (3.5 g/l residual sugar), with appley fruit and a lightly tropical citrus edge, this is easy to drink on its own as an aperitif or would complement light seafood or pasta dishes like spaghetti with clams.
