A medium bodied blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano showing clean red berry fruit intermingled with notes of black cherry and warming spice. Subtle use of oak contributes to the mild character of the wine making it ideal match for classic Italian dishes.

Description
The history of the Saladini Pilastri estate stretches back to 1000 AD and the 325 hectares of vineyards cover the limestone hills of Spinetoli and the rolling sunny hills of Monte Prandone and Porto d'Ascoli. The family have been here from the beginning and the land is vitally important to them, so much so that this was the first estate in Italy to be certified organic in 1994.
