Nat Cool is naturally “cool and funky”. It represents an innovative concept initiated by Niepoort in 2020, in which various producers came together to create light and easy-to-drink wines. In the case of Trudy, Niepoort have strived to put together a fresh port in the Ruby style, blending wines from different vintages resulting in an average age of 3 years old. Medium deep ruby colour with slighty exuberant aroma of cherries and dark plums with superb purity of fruit and freshness. On the palate the primary fruit and freshness are very present and superbly integrated with an acid driven seductive backbone of eloquent tannins.

Niepoort's mission is to maintain its position of "niche player", continuing to produce distinctive ports and Douro wines, combining centuries-old tradition with innovation. This combination has come to include throughout our growth wines from two other regions that have contributed to marking out the Douro - Bairrada - Dão triangle.
