This Uruguayan Tannat is deep purple in colour, this Tannat fresh aromas reminiscent of red and black fruits such as plums and raspberries on a spice-flavoured aroma. It has a great personality in mouth. Its ripe tannins and its minerality make it a terroir wine of great identity.
Located 11 miles from the Atlantic Ocean, the estate has more than 1,000 small vineyard blocks covering hillside slopes, which benefit from varying microclimates, different levels of humidity and an intense canopy management. Well-draining granitic soils and cooling Atlantic breezes allow the grapes to ripen steadily. The vineyards are surrounded by lush forests, palm trees, rocky soils and granite boulders.
The Ultra Malbec stands out with its intense red colour and ruby rim. The nose offers fruity aromas of blueberry and ripe plum, accompanied by notes of black pepper and rosemary. The palate is well rounded with smooth, elegant tannins complemented by a well-balanced acidity. This is a powerful and lively wine with a pleasing finish hinting of black fruits, vanilla and tobacco.
Iconic Californian Grape but this one is from Chile!
Fruit driven style, lightly oaked.
TASTING NOTES:
Nice red violet colour.
Attractive and complex nose, fruits like plums, raisin, ripe red berries, well assembled with spicy notes like pepper, and some touches of cocoa and smoked tones. Vibrant and well balance acidity lends a fresh and tasty palate. Soft and velvet tannins gave a rounded and persistent aftertaste. A wine easy to drink.
