Can Sumoi, between the forest and the vineyard in the Montmell. Pepe Raventós’ passion for recovering the landscape and old high mountain vineyards in the heart of the Penedès led him to discover Can Sumoi. An integrated and abandoned estate, dating back to 1645, at 600 m above sea level with 20ha of vineyard of more than 50-year-old planted with Montònega and Sumoll and 380ha of forest; a main winery and three late seventeenth century farmhouses where wine used to be made.

An estate the creates an impression due to the solitude of the place that surrounds it and its magnificent views of the Mediterranean Sea, and where, in just six harvests, we have recovered the entire abandoned vineyard, planted anew and we are helping to protect the forest that surrounds it while also working with local, vocational, certified organic winegrowers from the area.
