    The Drumshanbo inaugural release is a triple distilled Single Pot Still with a mash bill of malted Irish barley, un-malted Irish barley and Irish Barra oats matured in a combination of Kentucky Bourbon barrels and Oloroso Sherry casks.     Dingle Cask Strength Batch 4 is a limited release. Only a very limited amount of bottles, totalling 500, were created, giving a nod to the Dingle Founding Fathers. This is bottle number 150/500 and is currently the only available bottle. Finished in Bourbon, Sherry and Port casks. This whiskey is a full-flaboured, yet harmoniously balanced mix of creamy vanilla sweetness from American Oak, which combines beautifully with dried fruit flavours of apricot and sultanas from the fortified wine casks.     The first release from the Revival range. The Revival bottling consists of 15 year old single malt Irish whiskey distilled in 1999, matured exclusively in ex-rum casks and bottled at 46% with no chill filtration, creating a unique Irish whiskey. This bottling is limited to only 10,000 bottles. Tasting notes: on the palate the flavours are rich, with lots of spice and heat coming through. The oak becomes a cinnamon and vanilla flavour, with a thick wooded note to it. This adds depth and complexity to a wonderful dram.

    Producer: Celtic Cask Fiche a Hocht was double distilled at the Cooley distillery and first matured in fresh Bourbon barrels for 18 years. Part of this cask was then re-casked in a specially commissioned 125 litre Oloroso SHerry cask for 1 year. Limited to 206 bottles.

    Taste: Syrupy, silky and fruity. Flavours of lemon meringue, orange, pears, apples, pineapple and all spice.

    Finish: Long and fruity finish.

    Producer: The Teeling family have been making whiskey since 1782 in their distillery in Marrowbone Lane, in the Liberties area of Dublin. Several generations later, Teeling opened their brand new distillery in 2013 where Jack and Stephen are the newest generation to carry on the family legay.

    Nose: A nice balance of earthiness, fruit and spice. Touches of chocolate, oak, char, mocha, dried citrus peel, cinnamon and nutmeg.

    Taste: Shows some classic Powers character. The oak is vibrant but well balanced. Touches of toasted spices, roasted nuts, cocoa, vanilla and honey.

    Finish: The oak persists to the end giving some lovely complexity.

  • Teeling 30 year old Vintage Reserve

    Distilled in Dublin.

    The 30-year old single malt was distilled in 1987 and initially matured in ex-bourbon asks for 25 years before being given an additional 5 years maturation in ex-white Burgundy oak casks. Each of the 500 bottles were hand bottled in unique decanter bottles an come in a wooden gift box with their own certificate of authenticity.

    Jack Teeling, Founder of Teeling Whiskey, commented: "This very limited release of 30 year-old Irish single malt is a one of a kind, due to the French white wine influence that transforms this whiskey into something truly special. There is nothing else like this on the market."

    Nose: Tropical fruits and wood notes.

    Taste: Light and fresh, well balanced sweetness blends into notes of vanilla, sandalwood, all spice and orchard fruits.

    Finish: Deep and inviting as the spice comes back then goes away again. With age comes grace and this whiskey can prove it.

    Midleton Very rare was first released in 1984. Only 50 casks are released each year which makes them very collectible, especially older and harder to find vintages. The whiskeys used in the blend are hand picked by the Master Distiller, all triple distilled and have aged between 12 and 25 years in individually Bourbon or Sherry casks.

    Style: Blend, 40%.

    Bottle: 011381

    Nose: Vibrantly fruity with aromas of apricots, pineapple, red apples, stem ginger, marzipan and fruit bread.

    Palate: Soft, smooth and juicy. Flavours of apricot, dried citrus peel, honey, pineapple and mango.

    Finish: Delicate spices lead through to the finish.

    Single malt, 46%. Hints of fruit and vanilla on the nose with a slight honeyed apricot note from the sauternes cask.

    A touch of smoke adds extra layer on intrigue.

    The unique dual maturation imparts an extra depth of fruit flavours that perfectly complement the hint of smoke derived from the inclusion of a small portion of peated malt as part of the original used in production.

    Honey, vanilla and toasted oak round out the finish. With a lingering hint of peat.

    Small batch bottling, limited to just 5,000 70cl bottles, are hand bottled in unique decanter bottles and come with their own certificate of authenticity. This is the greatest Single Malt in the World. Delivery can take up to 4 weeks.
