  1. Le Versant, Pinot Noir

This delicious 13% Pinot Noir from Languedoc cooperative Les Vignobles Foncalieu offers superb value for money. It's very difficult to find a good Pinot Noir at this price from France. Aromatic violets and cherry on the nose. This medium bodied red has earthy raspberry fruit and fine tannins. Full of flavour with smooth and gentle tannins.
  2. Foncalieu Paradis Secret Rose, Languedoc

An attractive pale salmon pink colour greets the eye. The nose is immediately floral with aromatic notes of white blossom and magnolias plus fruity tones of peach, nectarine, wild strawberries and a hint of lime in the background. The palate is dry with similarly fruity notes of stone fruit and strawberries, lifted by a refreshing lemon and lime-fresh acidity. Maturation on fine lees in stainless steel tanks adds a touch of finesse and roundness to the mid-palate and the finish shows decent length with a hint of grapefruit.
  3. Plaimont En la Tradition Blanc, Saint Mont

"Producteurs Plaimont are a co-operative wine producing organisation based in south western France. They produce AOC wines from Madiran, Pacherenc and Saint-Mont plus IGP Côtes de Gascogne. [...] This wine smashes that theory as it is anything but small production, yet tastes absolutely delicious! It’s very aromatic on the nose, with fleshy peach, apricot, mandarin and grapefruit on the palate. Generous fruit sweetness on the mid-palate gives way to mineral notes and a long, fresh finish. With fruit, texture and acidity this would be a very flexible wine for food matching." - Frankstero

The Versant Merlot vines are situated on sunny south-facing hills near Ensérune (Languedoc-Roussillon). Ruby red colour with dark violet tints.
