Terre di Pietra's 'problem child' is essentially a declassified Valpolicella, and it's everything we think Valpolicella should be: full of bouncy, juicy red-berried fruit, smooth tannins, and refreshing acidity. Deliciously uncomplicated.

Description
This farm is owned by the family of the late Laura Albertini and is situated in Marcellise in the hills east of Verona. Terre di Pietra is a reference to the particular varieties of stony soils distributed between the different vineyards called « pierre de Lessinia ». 4.5 hectares of vineyard are divided between Valpolicella Classica D.O.C and the allargata Valpolicella D.O.C (enlarged DOC east of Valpol). Those vineyards in the classica area are located in Torbe di Negrar and are between 400 and 520m above sea level which is the cultivation limit for vineyards. The vineyards in the allargata area are located in Marcellise and are over 40 years of age. Terre di Pietra's 'problem child' is essentially a declassified Valpolicella, and it's everything we think Valpolicella should be: full of bouncy, juicy red-berried fruit, smooth tannins, and refreshing acidity.
