After crushing the grapes go through a thermal shock followed by foot treading for four hours in granite mills. The must is transferred to small capacity wine vats with temperature control. The grapes are vinified separately. This wine is aged in the second and third year 225-liter French oak barrels.
The Meandro has a deep ruby color, nose with flower, red and black fruit, and berry aromas. Intense, fruity palate. As always with Meao the wood is well integrated, spices appear at the edges. Large, warm, soft tannins and lush fullness, combined with a fine freshness and elegant finesse. Long finish.
