Bonera is a 'Contrada' located in the heart of Menfi, totally dedicated to the cultivation of vineyards with very high summer temperatures and strong diurnal temperature variations. This keeps the wine fresh and aromatic.
The vineyards for this wine are located on the hills facing south and south-west, at 90-150 metres above sea level, on silty and sandy soils. Vines are Guyot trained, with a density of 4,000-4,500 plants per hectare.
This wine is ruby red in color with intense purple hues. On the nose, this wine has aromas of plums, dried fruit, and almonds. The palate is full-bodied and intense, with a good structure and soft tannins. The finish is long.
