Description

The Uivo wines are born in the high altitude slopes of the Douro Valley, in family estate vineyards. All the wine creation process is carefully monitored and controlled, allying the knowledge acquired throughout generations to the most recent scientific developments. The grapes for this wine were selected from old vines over 70 years old, with more than 25 white grape varieties and indigenous reds that were planted mixed in the vineyard. Bright and light red color. Intense nose, full of fruit and herbal notes, and a slight toast note. A light and refreshing mouth, very smooth, and an almost salivating acidity. A very drinkable and savoury wine, that incites you to drink more, without any weight of the alcohol. Showing dry, tart, black raspberry and rhubarb fruit and minerality, it's at its most refreshing and quenching when served with a medium chill.
