The bouquet opens with fruits, cherries, raspberries, currants, to evolve towards mineral notes of firestone. On the palate, the fruit aromas stand out wonderfully and are accompanied by subtle hints of oak.

Description
Located on a terroir emblematic of the great wines of Bordeaux, a neighbor of the prestigious Haut-Brion and Pape Clément, the Picque Caillou vineyard extends over 21 hectares of stony soil. It is no surprise that the castle was named Picque Caillou, a name that evokes the composition of its soils. Picque Caillou wine has made a meteoric rise. Remarkably balanced and delicate, it is very representative of the values of Pessac-Léognan. The red wine is made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, Kings of the appellation. On these stony lands, the vines develop remarkably and give birth to concentrated berries. After vinification, the wine is aged for 12 months in new oak barrels for 30%. Château Picque Caillou 2014 is a wine that reflects the purity of its terroir
