This Margaux estate has evolved a lot since Jean-Luc Thunevin bought it in 2004. The vines span 4 hectares of limestone soils and are farmed respectfully. The soils are tilled to ensure the roots dig deep into the soil and manual harvests are followed by careful, precise vinification. The wines are sought after for their excellent balance between density and freshness.
Dense yet fresh, this wine is fleshy and reveals a particularly long finish with intense evolved aromas. The ripe blackcurrant and toasty notes mingle with spiced, savory aromas. The Merlot and Cabernet-Sauvignon grapes are vinified in stainless steel vats to preserve their freshness while the Petit-Verdot is put in oak. The wine is then raised in new oak barriques.
