Nose: Earthy barley with hint of freshly baked bread and melting butter. Cooked orchard fruit, vanilla blossom, and lemon zest.
Palate: More citrus, now slightly sweeter with grapefruit and orange. Honeyed cereals, caraway, and a subtle savoury hint of olive.
Finish: Oily barley lingers on the finish.
Description
Following the dramatic success and sellout of the first commercial bottlings from Waterford Whisky, we are delighted to bring you the latest release, one of four new bottlings. Proudly utilising 100% demonstrably Irish-grown barley from one farm, one terroir, at a time, Waterford Ballymorgan makes use of barley grown by Robert Milne on one of Ireland’s premier malting barley terroirs - the famous Clonroche Series in Co. Wexford, with its loamy, clay soils derived from slate and granite. Limited Stock available. Bottled at 50% ABV without colouring, chill-filtration or any additives.
