Mahler-Besse Cheval Noir Saint-Emilion

Mahler-Besse Cheval Noir Saint-Emilion

€22.95
Saint-Émilion, in the mid-19th century, the shadow of a black horse working in the vines. Prodigiously brave, both powerful and elegant, the horse was known to provide quality and success to each harvest. This is how began the legend of the Grands Vins de Cheval Noir, a pure and distinguished expression of exceptional soils. Since 1895, the name of Cheval Noir is one of the oldest of the region of Bordeaux. Purchased in 1937, Cheval Noir is the first estate of the Mähler-Besse family whose domains, among the most beautiful of the Bordeaux region, currently span Haut-Médoc, Saint-Émilion and Saint-Estèphe appellations. The top vintage, Château Cheval Noir, entirely turned to excellence, is shown as the symbol of such philosophy. Settled on the St-Émilion plateau, the 6-hectare estate opened in 2008 a wine house combining the top range technology to the passion of wines. Made with passion and following high standards, the wines of Cheval Noir provide all the amateurs the association of pleasure, charm and elegance. For over 60 years Cheval Noir Saint-Émilion has been the historic cornerstone and the jewel of Mähler-Besse wines. It is made from meticulously selected grapes chosen for their quality and their trueness to the Saint-Émilion type. This delicate, elegant wine is remarkable for its silky tannins and its berry fruit and cinnamon notes.
