Wine Advocate-Parker :
The Bruno Rocca 2016 Barbaresco is a gorgeous wine that reveals impeccable balance, ongoing intensity and elegance, which accompany the wine from the start and continue straight through its long finish. The mouthfeel is buoyant and bright, yet there is a solid base of firm fruit and tannic backbone on the close. This is a buttoned-up and firmly etched expression of Nebbiolo from one of the most talented producers in Barbaresco. Great job, Bruno. He knocked out 15,426 of these beauties.
Bruno Rocca makes this Barbaresco from their younger vines grown in the villages of Neive, Treiso and Barbaresco. The soil, rich in limestone and micronutrients, is sandy and tufaceous and produces full-bodied wines with firm tannins.
Color: intense garnet red. Nose: dense with fruit(blackberries, wild black cherries and plums), overtones of slightly withered rose and violet petals and spices. Flavor: warm, elegant and wrapping, long-lasting flavor with overtones confirming aromas perceived on the nose with one note of cocoa. Sustainable, vegan wine. Drink now-2038.

"Always one of my favorite wines from Produttori del Barbaresco, the 2014 Barbaresco Riserva Ovello lays out a broad and soft mouthfeel, with tannins that have already been polished and integrated thanks to ample time in the bottle already. It's safe to say that this Ovello cru loyally demonstrates the level of richness and textural softness that this site is known for. The bouquet is redolent of bright berry fruit with cherry, blackberry and plum. Also, the 2014 vintage was a warm one at the end of the growing season, and you taste a little bit of that ripeness here too". Wine Advocate-Parker
