A true delight for wine enthusiasts, Bedoba Saperavi is crafted in traditional qvevri (amphora) vessels, giving it remarkable depth and character. In the glass, it reveals a deep, dark purple hue. The nose is intense and savoury, with layers of blackberries, aromatic herbs, floral notes, and a twist of black pepper. On the palate, its creamy, juicy texture is supported by ripe, velvety tannins. Rich and full-bodied, it bursts with flavours of dark fruits, fresh herbs, mocha, caramel, and a hint of chocolate. Bedoba means `Day of Luck’. Winemakers Nugzar Ksovreli and Thierry Fontannaz found inspiration in the history and legacy of the winery’s founders, the Konchosvilli family, whose cellars date back to 1737. The label references the bishop Petre Konchoshvili, a prominent religious and political figure of the 19th century, and honours the long-standing relationship between the family and the church - `koncho` means cross.
