"Outer quote mark This wine's jammy black plum and berry aromas contain an oaky whiff of milk chocolate. It's saturated and plump, with blackberry, blueberry and cassis flavors. Chocolate and licorice notes show on the woody finish. Drink through 2030". 92 points Wine Enthusiast
Grapes
Tinto Fino. Region: Ribera del Duero, Spain.
Producer
Many consider Vega Sicilia to be one of Spain’s ‘First Growths;’ and responsible for the illustrious reputation of the Ribera Del Duero. It was founded in 1864 by Don Eloy Lecanda y Chaves, who arrived from Bordeaux with cuttings of local grapes (Cab. Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec) and planted them, together with Spain's signature grape Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) in Ribera del Duero.
Tasting Notes
This wine is silky, voluptuous and jammy, ripe and generous without being too much. The grapes fermented with indigenous yeasts in oak vats, and the wine matured in new and second use French barriques for 12 to 14 months. It's quite ripe and powerful yet balanced and with great freshness. The palate is medium to full-bodied with lots of fruit, juicy and showy, modern without excess. Drink now - 2030

Dominio de Pingus is a Spanish winery located in Quintanilla de Onésimo with vineyards in the La Horra area of the Ribera del Duero region. It was established in 1995 by Danish oenologist Peter Sisseck who believes in a system of never fertilising or treating the vineyard with pesticides.
“Explosively perfumed aromas of fresh boysenberry, floral oils and incense, with suave vanilla and woodsmoke nuances building in the glass. Sweet and plush on the palate, offering intense, smooth dark fruit liqueur and spicecake flavors. Really stains the palate, finishing with superb thrust and clarity; velvety tannins add gentle grip.”- Josh Raynolds
