A great, aromatic and corpulent Pauillac
Lynch-Moussas is located in the Pauillac appellation. Its 57 hectare vineyard has Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and Merlot (30%) planted. The Casteja family has owned the property since the beginning of the 20th century.
This is a blend of 17% Merlot and 83% Cabernet Sauvignon harvested between October 3 and 19th, 2016. It immediately display its intensity with its purple-ink colour. The nose is expressive, highlighting fresh black fruit aromas. The palate is firm, without being aggressive with a nice full body. The tannins are ripe and well-integrated. The finish is long and the wine has beautiful ageing potential. A great wine!

Description
In the 18th and 19th centuries, the Irishman Lynch gave the estate a new dimension. John Lynch left Galway and took refuge in Bordeaux in 1691. His son, Thomas, acquired the Domaine de Bages on 9 June 1750 through his marriage to the daughter of Pierre Drouillard. Their son, Michel Lynch, understood the importance of the terroirs, selected the best grape varieties, systematically drained the soils, and invented new tools to cultivate the vines.
The estate remained in the Lynch family for seventy-five years.
