    From the Douro Valley, this wine brings a great deal of complexity to the palate due to over 4 months of fermentation. It is full bodied on the palate with a slight acidity. On the nose, a strong hit of lemon and lime followed by a bit of mint. In the mouth, it lingers for a long time, with the tropical fruit characteristic of an alvarinho.

    A deep violet perfume on the nose, an elegant Port with fresh crushed blackberry and cherry fruits which fill the palate with their juiciness. Silky tannins, quite fluid and long on the mouth. Outstanding!

    A really special bottle, a Colheita is an aged Tawny Port made with grapes from a single vintage. Amber in colour with golden hues. Intense and enveloping on the nose, with prevailing aromas of dried fruit, and a refined hint of spice. In the mouth, it is concentrated, firm and elegant. A wine with great depth and noble character. Impressive and persistent finish. A wine of high quality, made from one single harvest. A Colheita wine matures in oak barrels for periods of time that can vary, but never less than 7 years.
  14. Kopke 30 Year Old Tawny Port

    A port of high quality, made by blending wines of different harvests to achieve an array of qualities that are typical of these aged tawny Port wines. These wines have each matured in oak casks for varied periods of time, with the average age of all the wines in the blend defining the age on the label. The resulting blend expresses the characteristics given by the ageing in wood. Amber in colour, with green hues. An intense and complex nose, with prevailing aromas of dried fruit well-balanced with notes of vanilla and honey. On the palate, it is harmonious, concentrated and unctuous. Producer Since the emergence of Vintage port as a great classic wine in the first half of the 19th century, Fonseca has been one of its most admired and consistent producers. The first vintage sold under Fonseca's name, the 1840, marked the start of a steady stream of magnificent vintages which continues to this day, and now includes four 100-point wines. Tasting Notes Complex and elegant bottle matured bouquet. Plum and cherry fruit with a spicy and aromatic background. A lean, stylish wine with good structure. Fresh, firm finish that holds well.
  19. Taylor’s Vintage Port 2000

    Grapes Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional , Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, and old mixed vines. Region Douro Valley, Portugal. Producer Taylor's is one of the most well known of all Port brands. The first Taylor joined in 1816, followed later by a Fladgate and a Yeatman. Taylor’s is the only Port shipper to remain completely independent throughout its history. British ownership continues to this day. Tasting Notes Rich magenta color. Powerful, intense, black fruit and cherry aromas with lovely fragrant aromatic notes. On the mouth, this wine is in perfect harmony with beautifully balanced fruit and tannins. Rich, elegant, luscious black fruit flavors.     Aged for up to five years in wooden vats this LBV is well balanced and structured with great fruit character and vanilla. Drinking well now, but could be cellared for years.
