    Powerful nose, ripe red berries with aromas of roasted coffee, spice and cherry. Plenty of length, ripe fruits and structure.

    Deep red colour with a dark purple shade. Nose of black berry fruit with tapenade (olive and anchovy paste); a touch of balsam introduces superb complexity and a light, elegant freshness. Soft and elegant mouth, the palate develops aromas of violets and plums with a delicate note of balsam. A wine which is long and refined, powerful and complex with soft, velvety tannins.

    Ruby red in colour tending towards garnet with age. It is a dense, spicy wine that opens up slowly to reveal layers of dark cherry, plum, Christmas spice and tea notes. It finishes dry and slightly tannic with a delicate scent of violets. Still youthful, this needs plenty of aeration to show its best.

    Medium-bodied with citrus notes and layers of ripe pear, with a long and elegant finish. A great organic wine.

    From the oldest demarcated wine region in Europe, this red is full-bodied and very lush! On the nose, smooth aromas of plums and dark cherry are followed by subtle notes of vanilla. The palate is rich in flavours, with notes of riped fruits, good structure and a well-balanced finish.

    Gold green colour. Intense tropical fruit aroma. The palate is rich in fruit, fine, elegant and well balanced acidity.

    A super wine, this Mencia Joven is deliciously smooth with savoury notes on the palate alongside dark fruit flavours and a hint of liquorice. Wonderful, complex and excellent value.

    On the nose there are intense aromas of black raspberry and cherry, with hints of smoke and mineral notes. The palate of this wine starts of with youthful notes of strawberry and plum which progress into fleshier and richer offerings of sweet red and dark berry flavours with hint of chocolate and herbs.
  14. Innocenti, Rosso di Montepulciano, DOC

    From the amazing area of Tuscany comes Rosso di Montepulciano, a blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo Nero and Mammolo grapes. It has plummy warmth with notes of saddle leather and wild rose alongside meaty, gamey notes. Medium in body, the palate is sweetly fruity, but well-structured with notes of bitter cherry. Finely grained tannins.

    A medium-bodied tempranillo with a pleasant, juicy mouth-feel bursting with fruit and fine oaky notes. A super wine at this price.
  16. Château Doyac, 2009

    A delicious and modern Haut Medoc from the 2009 vintage. Pouring crimson in colour, it has a meaty nose that is more savoury than most merlots. It show bright dark fruits, soft tannins and has a full mouth feel. A great wine at this price.

    A port designed to enhance the dark chocolate experience. The nose is filled with the smell of wild roses, and violets. It has soft ripe tannins, an intense texture and dry finish. A delightful and delicious Port.
  18. Pardas Rupestris

    Made from local grapes grown in the Alt Penedes region of Spain. Intense nose with notes of citrus to begin, followed by pear and ripe melon. Beyond the fruit are notes of minerality and flint. The palate is fresh and fruity with pear, apricots and peach that overlay a marked acidic background.
  19. Bodegas Ponce, 'Depaula' Monastrell, 2012

    This delicious red from the Jumilla region is organically and biodynamically grown. 100% Monastrell, it shows the purity and freshness of this Mediterranean varietal, and is not a wine that is too high in alcohol or heavy. Aged in French oak barrels for seven months, it is an easy drinking wine with lots of fruit on the nose with hints of undergrowth. Solid character and depth. It will continue to evolve in the bottle over the next three years.
  20. Crozes Hermitage, 'Inspiration', Domaine de la Ville Rouge

    Made with 100% Syrah grapes, this organic wine has a great nose full of forest floor aromas, plum and gentle spice. Sleek and textured, it is firm and full in body with soft tannins, and sufficient acidity to lift the palate. It has great life and definite gusto. Drink now to 2018.
