  1. Clos Lojen, Bobal

    On the nose there are intense aromas of black raspberry and cherry, with hints of smoke and mineral notes. The palate of this wine starts of with youthful notes of strawberry and plum which progress into fleshier and richer offerings of sweet red and dark berry flavours with hint of chocolate and herbs.
  2. Matsu, El Picaro

    It has an intense aroma in which one can find dark fruits such as blackberries and blueberries, mineral notes also appear, creating this fresh wine with complexity.
  3. El Coto, Rioja, Crianza

    A medium-bodied tempranillo with a pleasant, juicy mouth-feel bursting with fruit and fine oaky notes. A super wine at this price.
  4. Castro de Valtuille 'Bierzo'

    A wonderful red wine from Bierzo, in the northwest of Spain. Made from 100% Mencia sourced from 80-year-old vines. Raul Perez, who now runs the winery, is a figurehead for Bierzo wines in Spain, renowned for making some of the best wines in the world and considered a bit of superstar in Spanish winemaking circles. Deep purple in colour with a nose of raspberries, cherries, mineral and floral notes. Medium-full in body with a soft palate, the wine offers complex flavors of red berries, cherries and spice. It was aged for just over a year in French oak barriques. The wine has a smooth, lengthy finish.
  5. Bodegas Ponce, 'Depaula' Monastrell

    This delicious red from the Jumilla region is organically and biodynamically grown. 100% Monastrell, it shows the purity and freshness of this Mediterranean varietal, and is not a wine that is too high in alcohol or heavy. Aged in French oak barrels for seven months, it is an easy drinking wine with lots of fruit on the nose with hints of undergrowth. Solid character and depth. It will continue to evolve in the bottle over the next three years.
  6. Muga Reserva

    The Muga Reserva is aged for 24 months in French and American Oak before it is bottled. It is a pure deeply complex red with robust dark fruit character vanilla, and spice.
  7. Nosso, Verdejo

    100% Verdejo from a certified organic estate in Rueda. Bodegas Menade specialise in natural winemaking and there is no sulphur added to this tasty white. Pale yellow with green hints, this Spanish white is clean and bright, is medium in body and full of green fruit and honey flavours. An interesting wine, it's definitely one to try.
  8. Viña Tondonia, Rioja Reserva, Wood Presentation

    This wine comes presented in a single bottle wooden gift box. Super-smooth with light tannins, this medium bodied Rioja has plentiful aromas of black pepper, cherry and blackberry. The palate is dry with medium acidity, smooth tannins with flavours of ripe, damson plum, blackberry, fresh cherries and cassis alongside subtle oak, lingering black pepper, tobacco and light leather with a long finish. Drinking really well at the moment.
  9. VIÑA TONDONIA, RIOJA RESERVA 2007

    Super-smooth with light tannins, this medium bodied Rioja has plentiful aromas of black pepper, cherry and blackberry.   10. Spanish (Red) Duo - The Matsu Two, Card Presentation

    Two fantastic Spanish red wines from Toro, presented in a cardboard gift box. A great gift for the red wine lover - both wines are staff and customer favourites! The wines? El Picaro - or the rogue - is a young and fruity wine. Aromas of dark fruits such as blackberries and blueberries, mineral notes also appear, creating this fresh wine with complexity. El Recio - the tough one - has more age to it and enjoys subtle oaky notes alongside the fruit. It has an intense nose with notes of chocolate, black fruits and vanilla. In the mouth the taste is striking, predominantly round and silky. Both are delicious.
  11. Hécula Monastrell

    Intense and shiny cherry red colour. A nose full of fruity expression - plum, fig, berries - and intense balsamic aromas with integrated wooden notes alongside sweet liquorice spice. Soft and silky on the palatem it is well-balanced, fresh, with elegant soft tannins and a good acidity. Long and very well structured. Overall winner of 'Wine Of The Year' at the Irish Wine Show Awards 2016-17. A bargain bottle and a new staff favourite.
  12. Pinyeres Vi Negre

    A robustly red coloured wine with intense aromas of toast, red fruit and spice. It is very well-balanced, full on the palate, and offers wonderful dark fruits that linger.
  13. Forcalla - Rafael Cambria

    A medium bodied, fruit forward wine with a hint of spice on the back end.
  14. Las Uvas de la Ira

    Made from 100% Garnacha, this wine is light and fresh, light years from classic concentrated style. Muscular and ambitious, extremely sophisticated. Lots of sweet juice, but not heavy. A well-balanced great wine!
  15. 4 Kilos 2014

    Dark cherry in colour with a high intensity and ripe black fruit, balsamic, toast and floral notes on the palate. Good acidity with a long, persistent finish.
  16. Valenciso Reserva 2010

    This wine offers good balace, wonderful freshness and sweet tannins. Notes of charcoal and chocolate hit the mouth followed by mushroom and liquorice. It ends with a deep lingering finish.
  17. Albamar Albarino

    This is a complex Albarino from vineyards by the ocean which brings a salty, briny minerality to the wine. There are ripe fruits on the palate with a leesy texture. A delicious, fresh wine!
  18. Vía Arxéntea - Treixadura Y Godello 2015

    On the nose vivid aromas of pineapple, mango, and smoky minerals. A full textured wine on palate which offers bright freshness and acidity. A diverse palate of flavours from ginger and fennel to lemon and orange.
  19. Louro Godello

    A nice dry wine with a ripe fruit character and a fresh acidity. This wine is creamy on the body with notes of citrus, biscuit and oak. The nose brings pear, ripe apple and baked bread.
  20. Fernando de Castilla Antique Amontillado

    A beautifully dry Amontillado with a gorgeously rich palate. An explosion of orange peel, eucalyptus, hazelnuts, fennels and raisins. The combination of elegant light citrus fruit and bolder back notes make this a well-balanced sherry that's a truly superb apéritif.
