  1. RENE BARBIER, ESPECTACLE, MONTSANT

    A joint venture between Rene Barbier and the Clos Mogador team. The project is jointly owned by Réné and Isabelle Barbier, Fernando and Marta Zamora (Oenologists and teachers at University of Taragona), and Charlotte and Christopher Cannan. Biodynamic. "Espectacle is a tiny production of old vines Garnacha made by Rene Barbier, Sr. The 100 year old Garnacha vines come from a dramatic and steep vineyard. Rene refers to this vineyard as the "L'Ermita of Monsant." This outstanding new wine comes from a single, very steep vineyard planted with over 100 year old Grenache vines. The vineyard is located at La Figuera, on the northern edge of the Montsant D.O., and looks onto the famous Montsant mountain as well as having spectacular views of the Ebro valley and even the distant Pyrenees 200 kms away. Hence the name!" "The 2015 Espectacle del Montsant is a ripe and classic vintage for this exceptional wine produced from a single vineyard in Montsant. This has a forward personality—open, expressive and showy in the nose—from a typically warm and ripe year that resulted in a voluptuous and hedonistic Espectacle that's easy to like. It's rounder and lusher than the 2014 I had next to it, and the two vintages showed very different. The palate is also gentler, with integrated acidity and a soft mouthfeel."   3. Guímaro Cepas Viejas

    Fermented and raised on the lees for around one year in old Burgundy barrels. Deep, sappy, and complex, a wine to pair with dishes you would normally pair with a Meursault: lobster, crab, and scallops.
  4. Guímaro Vino Tinto

    Unoaked, crunchy and refreshing. Lots of red cherry, blackberry, damson, cranberry, strawberry, raspberry, plum and wildflowers. Great with barbeques, chorizo and hot spice. Drink this lightly chilled all summer long in the sunshine or with lighter dishes during the colder months.

    Very tannic and powerful with a full body, and a solid backbone. Dark berry and chocolate undertones. Hints of wet earth. Decant before serving.
  6. Lindes de Remelluri

    Brilliant ruby. Powerful aromas of cherry compote, cassis, cured tobacco and woodsmoke, complicated by a floral overtone and a hint of cracked pepper. Spice-accented black and blue fruit flavors are lifted by violet pastille and a subtle licorice nuance. Finishes sweet, gently tannic and very long, leaving smoke and floral notes behind.
  7. Negre de Negres 2016 Priorat Clos de Portal

    Full bodied red from Priorat. Earthy and rich with lovely red fruits and a hint of white pepper.

    Vibrant and fruit forward with a lush mouthfeel and lots of strawberry fruit. Try it with salmon. Made from Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes.
  9. La Calandria Sonrojo Garnacha Rose 2018

    A super delicious and juicy rose made from 100% Garnacha grapes. Meaning "blushing" in Spanish, Sonrojo is the kind of rose you want to drink after a long day in the sun! Clean, refreshing, lively notes of strawberry and blueberry together with some lime. Great on its own or as an aperitif.

  11. Flor de Pingus 2014 Ribera del Duero

    Dominio de Pingus is a Spanish winery located in Quintanilla de Onésimo with vineyards in the La Horra area of the Ribera del Duero region. It was established in 1995 by Danish oenologist Peter Sisseck who believes in a system of never fertilising or treating the vineyard with pesticides.

    “Explosively perfumed aromas of fresh boysenberry, floral oils and incense, with suave vanilla and woodsmoke nuances building in the glass. Sweet and plush on the palate, offering intense, smooth dark fruit liqueur and spicecake flavors.     Roda I Reserva 2011 Bodegas Roda in wooden box. Roda is the relative newcomer in this historic area of bodegas including Lopez de Heredia, La Rioja Alta and Muga. Their style tends to show more dark fruit flavors, with savory undertones and the grilled, toasty nuances of high quality French oak barrels. A rich, lushly fruited, spicy Rioja, the Roda I is marked by baking spices, dried coconut and other barrel notes, along with an undeniably powerful Rioja Alta profile. Chewy, savory and a really impressive moutfhul of Rioja, this is for fans of Napa Cab and right bank Bordeaux.

The palate is dry with medium acidity, smooth tannins with flavours of ripe, damson plum, blackberry, fresh cherries and cassis alongside subtle oak, lingering black pepper, tobacco and light leather with a long finish. Drinking really well at the moment.
  14. Sin Palabras, Albarino

    Albarino continues to increase in popularity as more and more customers become familiar with this delicious grape variety. A great example, Sin Palabras is straw yellow in colour and clean in appearance. Fine and intense on the nose, with hints of white fruit (apricot and peach) and nice herb notes. On the palate this Spanish white is silky with a well-integrated acidity and long lingering finish.
  15. VIÑA TONDONIA, RIOJA RESERVA 2006, Card PRESENTATION

    This wine comes presented in a red card gift box. Super-smooth with light tannins, this medium bodied Rioja has plentiful aromas of black pepper, cherry and blackberry. The palate is dry with medium acidity, smooth tannins with flavours of ripe, damson plum, blackberry, fresh cherries and cassis alongside subtle oak, lingering black pepper, tobacco and light leather with a long finish. Drinking really well at the moment.

  17. Fernando de Castilla Antique Amontillado

    A beautifully dry Amontillado with a gorgeously rich palate. An explosion of orange peel, eucalyptus, hazelnuts, fennels and raisins. The combination of elegant light citrus fruit and bolder back notes make this a well-balanced sherry that's a truly superb apéritif.
  18. Louro Godello

    A nice dry wine with a ripe fruit character and a fresh acidity. This wine is creamy on the body with notes of citrus, biscuit and oak. The nose brings pear, ripe apple and baked bread.
  19. Merinas Organic Tempranillo

    An unoaked fresh and juicy organic Tempranillo. This ticks all the boxes for a soft easy drinking red!
  20. Áster Crianza Ribera del Duero

    Deep, dark cherry red, almost black; clean and bright. Very intense forest berry nose, with, redcurrants, blackberries, violets and fennel leading to a complex background of sweet spices, bay leaves, black olives, liquorice, cedar, incense, tobacco leaves and cocoa powder. Powerful, in the mouth, with great structure and balance; mineral, with a pleasant acidity and creamy tannins providing a delectable, elegant mouthfeel. Long aftertaste with ripe dark fruit, liquorice and bakery notes that leave marked, pleasant final sensations.
