"I’m not normally a big fan of Languedoc Pinot Noir, but this translucent version from Foncalieu, with its teasing raspberry scents and light, fresh, elegant palate is a success. It’s not too dry or too strong, nor does it have a bitter finish – the usual hazards here. Delicate, tender and true." Andrew Jefford. Decanter 2017.
This delicious 13% Pinot Noir from Languedoc cooperative Les Vignobles Foncalieu offers superb value for money. It's very difficult to find a good Pinot Noir at this price from France. Aromatic violets and cherry on the nose. This medium bodied red has earthy raspberry fruit and fine tannins. Full of flavour with smooth and gentle tannins.
