From the winery: "Our Puligny-Montrachet is rather unique because three-quarters of the bottling comes from a 1.1 hectares parcel situated in the Puligny Premier Cru "Les Chalumeaux" that was declassified by INAO when it was replanted in 1975 because the former owner brought in 20 centimeters of topsoil from elsewhere.
This is the only Puligny-Montrachet village vineyard to sit mid-slope, amidst the Premier Crus. The two other parcels that complete this wine are located in "Levron" and "Baudrières-Nosroy" and compose another 0.38 hectare.
Our wines are known for their great aromatic purity. We always favor balance and elegance over power and extraction. The wines are classic expressions of Burgundy, of their appellations in general and of their specific terroirs in particular. The farming methods we use contribute to this individual style, and our winemaking methods aim to avoid excessive outside influences in order to bring out the equilibrium that can be found naturally in Burgundian terroir.
"A markedly floral-suffused nose expresses additional notes of honeysuckle, citrus and sandalwood. There is a much finer and more mineral-driven palate impression to the vibrant medium weight flavours that culminate in a balanced, refined and lingering finish. The high proportion of 1er juice is quite evident."Chateau de Puligny-Montrachet, Puligny Montrachet 2015

Based in Meursault, 7 generations have run the 10.5 hectares of Domaine Michel Bouzereau and the most recent in line is Jean Baptiste. They believe that the work for a great wine is mainly in the vineyard : soil cultivation, small in size, severe de-budding and use of the most natural products. In fact they go so far as working to the lunar cycle – biodynamics – whilst bottling between November and March. Adapting their viticulture techniques and careful observation of each individual parcel leads to hand harvested healthy fruit that gives precise, balanced wines.
Rich and voluptuous Meursault, exotic with the bouquet of toasted hazelnuts, orange blossom and butterscotch yet it is elegant and deeply complex. There is a captivating palate of white fruits with sublime honeyed richness with a hint of toasted oak.

Burgundy, FranceChardonnay"The 2015 Chablis Grand Cru les Clos comes from a single 0.30 hectare parcel located in the center of the slope. The vines were planted in 1964 and 1965. It offers quite a rich bouquet with scents of dried honey, acacia, linseed and a touch of pressed white flowers, all well defined. The palate is crisp and taut on the entry with a fine bead of acidity, waxy in texture with a slightly resinous last third that seems to be closing down. Cellar this away for two to four years to get the most from this grand cru. Drink: 2020-2035"
