    Pinot Noir & Chardonnay
The Prestige Cuvee from the House of Moet & Chandon, Dom Perignon is the quintessential choice for the connoisseur of Champagne. Vintages this old are very difficult to fine. At a ripe old age of 27 years, the nose can be ripe and perhaps a touch oxidative but mature. Perhaps complex flavours of nuts, butter and yet still quite fleshy. A complex wine with aged nuances. • Gosset Celebris, Blanc de Blancs, NV Extra Brut
    France
    100% Chardonnay
A concentrated, luminous, pale golden hue with flickers of green. The nose is expressive, very complex and distinguished, characterised by extraordinary purity, diversity and maturity of aroma - elderflower and pungent tropical fruit: apricot, pineapple, peaches, mango and passion fruit. In the mouth this Champagne is full, concentrated and almost voluptuous. Rich and creamy, showing marvellous balance between succulence and lively acidity, with fruity flavours of candied pineapple and orange or of dried fruit such as apricot and fig linked by smooth, honeyed and delicately spicy aromas. All refined freshness and light, ably seconded by a creamy, perky sparkle whilst the attractive balsamic and decidedly spicily-sweet scent of sandalwood bursts onto the palate to join superb smoky aromas of crème brulée and lightly roasted pralines. The finish is long, persistent finish reinforced by moderate acidity extremely volatile hints of toast.

  • 1993 Perrier Jouet 'Belle Epoque' Blanc de Blancs
    France
    Chardonnay
Established in 1811, Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque stands out visually amongst the other Grand Cuvee Champagne houses, thanks to the beautiful Japanese anemones on the bottle, designed by Emile Galle in 1902. Aromas of white fruits, lemons, white peach and pear gives way to hints of pineapple. This is followed by richer aromas of nuts, marzipan, and sweet spice. The palate is lively, with marked minerality. Sensual and silky, harmonious and beautifully balanced, the flavours mingle to leave a long, fine finish. An iconic vintage from Perrier Jouet. The last bottle that we know of left outside the Champagne House. Drink now to 2018.
